How do we support kids?

Experiences from the 2011 floods show how people prepared and supported their children. For example, family friendly houses allowed kids to play while adults cleaned up. This avoided exposing children to dirty floodwater. Some checked in with young children and reassured them that things will be okay. Others allowed children to help out, such as packing to leave, which gave them a positive experience.
