Flood resilient buildings

Flood resilient building design aims to help houses withstand floodwaters. It can reduce the cost of damage and enable faster clean up. It considers materials, construction systems and house design types. For example, wet proofing uses materials and techniques that minimise water damage. Raising the level of habitable areas and services also boosts flood resilience.
